Day 3 of Gratitude

Author: Erika

Today I looked at my Gratitude Challenge calendar which says to post about something I feel grateful for in my life today.  This morning I woke up feeling a bit off - tired and sort of a sore throat.  Not to mention that I slept through 2 alarms.  When I woke up I was annoyed and hoped that I wasn’t coming down with anything.  Since then it has passed and I am feeling pretty good.  My body was probably just protesting waking up today.  Therefore, I am grateful for my health.  I am not saying that it is perfect all the time, but for the most part I am healthy and fortunate to be so.

Working Off The Holiday Weight

Author: Erika

I don’t know about you, but my friends and I are fed up with the constant consumption of holiday food. At the office it is all around us and even though we can’t fathom taking another bite, I continue to consume goodies. I am assuming I will need a workout regime next week to be able to combat the food intake. Therefore, I have put together some of my favorite ways to work out without noticing it too much.

Yoga- Pop in a yoga video and dim the lights. This is one of the best work outs and ways to wind down after a day of stress. Once you get the moves down you can really do it anywhere and for any amount of time. Sun salutations are my favorite and are a great way to start the day as well.

Dancing- A night of dancing always makes me break a sweat. Whether you pop on some tunes and dance around the house in pajamas or go out for a night on the town, this activity is a fun way to burn some serious calories!

Take a hike!- No, really.. take a hike or even a walk around your neighborhood. This is an easy way to see new things, chat with a good friend and get a good work out and stay healthy.

What do you like to do to stay fit? How do you plan to work off the holidays? Fill us in!
