Last night I got in a random funk.  I was disappointed about something silly and knew it, but couldn’t manage to get out of my downward spiral.  Little things started to get to me and I was about to head down a bad path or have to put myself to bed to avoid it when my phone rang.. It was my friend, Pita.  She had no idea that I was in a funk and just treated me as she normally does.  But because of my funk I realized how grateful I am for her.  She has such a positive, upbeat spirit and always makes me feel so special.  She also makes me laugh.. A LOT.  When I hung up the phone, my outlook and attitude were completely changed.  I had done a 180.  Instead of putting myself to bed or being cranky all night, I was productive and positive.  I am so grateful for her and our friendship.. and her amazing timing last night :)

Summer Party Inspiration

Author: Erika

My good friend is having a house warming party this weekend for his new place in the city.  With the high temperatures, I couldn’t help but think of summer party inspirations!  I doubt he will make this much of an effort, but hopefully this will inspire him and you!

Klean Kanteen

Author: Erika

With eco-friendly products becoming a front runner in the market, I cannot help but be swayed by their eco and design appeal even with the additional costs.

I was in Whole Foods the other day and became enamored by the stainless steel canteens I saw adorning walls and displays. I thought to myself, “What a great way to help the environment, save money on buying water bottles in bulk and fashionable to boot!” Although, the initial cost of $20 made me think twice about my desire to purchase. Would I use it? Would it last? Is it worth it? I came to the conclusion that I must have it and I have been using it every day since the purchase!

Check out these colors. I chose the pink one!

Fashionable Active Wear

Author: Erika

Clothing to exercise in has become more and more fashionable. It can be silly to think that people are spending more money on clothes that they will be sweating in than on clothes that they wear on a daily basis, but it is true in some cases. Plus, I find that a new outfit to work out in motivates me to get out there and get fit!

Here are some of my favorite pieces:

Nike Pull-Overs - $55 - Nike.com

Lucy Tank Tops - $48 - Lucy.com

Lululemon Yoga Pants - $98 - Lululemon.com

What clothes do you like to work out in? Do you have any favorite brands or does it not matter? Fill us in!
