Over the weekend, one of the most epic tennis matches was played. It was the Wimbledon final between Roger Federer and Andy Roddick. Roddick has not won a championship since 2002 and has not had great success against Federer, but this match was different. Roddick was more prepared than ever. On the line for Federer was the record for most grand slam titles. As Federer defeated Roddick in one of the longest matches ever, Pete Sampras (who previously had the most grand slam titles) was looking on during this momentous occasion.

I am sure that Roddick will be back at the US Open seeking to turn the tables on Federer.

The French Open is one of the four major Grand Slams in tennis and is the only slam to be played on clay. This surface favors players with lots of spin and great court movement. Most players that are used to hard courts struggle on this surface. Unfortunately for the American players, they do not adapt well to the clay. Serena Williams is the only American player left in the tournament.

This year, the French men have really done well and stepped up their play. Tsonga and Montflis are two top French contenders that have been playing very well in the tournament. Monflis will play the top seed, Federer, next. Check out this video to see Monflis in what is probably the best point of the tournament. His opponent even gives him a high 5 for this play!

Happy Cinco Day Mayo!

In honor of this holiday, I got chicken enchiladas for lunch. I know that other colleagues celebrated with their usual Taco Tuesday meal (luckily it landed on the same day).

But, my favorite thing to eat on this holiday is guacamole. I love avocados! The best part about guacomole is that you can really personalize it to fit your taste buds.

I take a few avocados and chop them up. I then mix in some fresh lime juice, salt and pepper. You can also add spices to give it a kick. I smash everything together for this healthy and delectable snack! It is an easy way to celebrate the holiday and eat some fresh and healthy food!
